Plugins & audio consoles

Working with Waves for over 5 years as the lead product designer for the consumer division was a fascinating experience, creating products for regular users on the one hand and audiophile users on the other. Part of my job was working closely with our customers and their usability team, on computer, tablet & mobile devices; and optimizing our products for the target end-users.

01 – Acer Predator

This audio console was made for Acer’s gaming line of laptop & desktop devices named Predator. Waves glugin package is implemented as an integrated tool as part of the device control panel.

02 - Waves Nx

Waves Nx recreates the three dimensional experience of listening to professional speakers, on headphones. The challenges in designing this product in its all versions was to visually deliver the head tracking effect to audiophile and non-audiophile users, meaning understanding the users from both end-points, their expectations and interest in this product.

03 - Dell

Worked hand in hand with Dell’s usability team and created the audio control panel that goes across all Dell’s platforms. The idea in this product is to auto adjust the device in and out audio by using sensors to learn the environment the user is in and also to constantly detect the users position to the device. Therefore I created this illustrations bar on top followed by meters which are flickering dynamically according to the audio content that is detected.
